Let our praises to God be heard everywhere!

And on that day they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God had given them great joy. The women and children also rejoiced. The sound of rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard far away. – Nehemiah 12:43

The wall of Jerusalem had been reconstructed. The people gathered together in the city to dedicate the wall to the LORD. They divided themselves into two choirs and proceeded up the walls to designated points. Once they were in position, the people began singing praises to God. There were civil leaders, priests, Levites, family heads, and various others from Israel who had separated themselves from all foreigners and consecrated themselves unto God. Many sacrifices were offered that day, and the people were filled with joy for their God. In fact, there was so much joy and excitement there that their rejoicing could be heard at a great distance from Jerusalem.

It is time for the people of God to once again be filled with so much of his joy that they raise their voices collectively in praise to God, so that it can be heard from a great distance. The world needs to know and be reminded that there is only one God in the universe, and his name is Yahweh (YHWH). There is no God but Jehovah!

People of God, let us unite and raise holy hands unto our God and sing aloud his praises until the whole world hears!!! The volume of our praises for the one, true, living God should drown out the noise of Satan and the world. It should be as the days of old in ancient Israel and as the Newsboys’ song says,

It’s the song of the redeemed
Rising from the African plain
It’s the song of the forgiven
Drowning out the Amazon rain
The song of Asian believers
Filled with God’s holy fire
It’s every tribe, every tongue, every nation
A love song born of a grateful choir

It’s all God’s children singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns
It’s all God’s children singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns

Let it rise about the four winds
Caught up in the heavenly sound
Let praises echo from the towers of cathedrals
To the faithful gathered underground
Of all the songs sung from the dawn of creation
Some were meant to persist
Of all the bells rung from a thousand steeples
None rings truer than this

And all the powers of darkness
Tremble at what they’ve just heard
‘Cause all the powers of darkness
Can’t drown out a single word

When all God’s children sing out
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns
All God’s people singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns

Father, may your praises be sung from the rooftops and mountain tops to the lowest valley and crevice on earth. May your wondrous deeds be made known among the peoples of the earth. May the good news of Jesus’ atoning blood and salvation be preached in the four corners of the earth! May all who respond to your Spirit’s convicting call be made sons and daughters of YWHH! Blessed is the LORD! And he is greatly to be praised! Lift up the name of the LORD! There is no God but Jehovah! OUR GOD REIGNS! May the whole world hear our praise to you! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
