You are glorious and more majestic than the everlasting mountains. – Psalm 76:4
In typical fashion of the psalms, even Asaph wrote some that spoke directly to God’s awesome power and glory. Asaph declared in this psalm that God is greatly feared and honored and that none of Israel’s enemies were able to stand against Him. Thus, the psalmist declared his love and admiration for God in saying that God is glorious and more majestic than massive mountain ranges.
This psalm reminded me that there is nothing greater that we can do than to demonstrate our love for God by praising him and worshiping him. When we sound off with our heart-felt praise to God, He comes and dwells in our praises. If you doubt that, then read the Bible. The Word tells us that God inhabits the praises of his people. Therefore, under inspiration from Asaph and David (after having read their psalms) I lift up my voice and declare to the world my love and admiration for God and all that he does or doesn’t do. I acknowledge him in all my ways that he will direct my life.
Father, YOU ARE THE GREATEST! There is none like you! The world hates you and despises your grace and love. However, I love you and have accepted your gift of grace and eternal life through Jesus! I adore you from the bottom of my heart and love you with all that is in me. Praise be to you and you alone! I love You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
