Yours, O lord , is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O lord , and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. – 1 Chronicles 29:11
David neared the end of his life and made the announcement to all Israel that Solomon would follow him as next king of Israel. He also shared with the people the plans he had to build a temple for the Lord, which Solomon would build. The king and all thr leaders donated tons of gold and silver for the temple construction to which David praised the Lord! In his praise he mentioned that all that was given by Israel had come from God first because it all belonged to him anyway.
What has God given you in this life? As David says it all belongs to God in the first place, which makes us merely stewards of God’s blessings. We need to ensure that we are using the resources he gives us in the best manner possible and in alignment with what God wants us to use it for. We will one day have to answer to God for our choices including what we did with what he gave us to use in this life toward advancing his will and kingdom in thia age. Be wise how you use his resources.
Father as David said long ago, it is all yours to start with. We merely are entrusted with your resources while we live here on the earth. Help us to know how and when to best usr your riches for your glory. I praise you today because of the blessing you’ve bestowed upon me. Thank you for never letting me go hungry or without clothing or shelter. You’ve given me all I’ve ever needed or wanted. Thank you! I love you! Your will be done, not mine. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
