A new proverb for America!

“Son of man, you’ve heard that proverb they quote in Israel: ‘Time passes, and prophecies come to nothing.’” – Ezekiel 12:22

Ezekiel received a message from the LORD, who asked the prophet about the proverb that had become a recent tradition in Israel. The people were saying that the prophecies spoken of by Ezekiel would not happen in the present time but at a much later date. The LORD told the prophet to tell the people that the saying would no longer be spoken by them because the LORD was replacing it with a new saying, “The time has come for every prophecy to be fulfilled.'” The LORD told Ezekiel that everything he had prophesied about the destruction of Judah would now happen on an accelerated scale, and he said not one of them would be left undone. Every word spoken would happen without delay!

I spoke the other night about bringing messages of hope and salvation from God because he wants people to return to him and repent and see a change in America, which will happen IF his people humble themselves, pray to heaven, and turn from their wicked ways. The LORD says to us today very similar words that he spoke the ancient Jewish prophet: “There will be no more false visions and flattering predictions in [America].” The time for God’s word about judgment are very soon to begin.

I know that many people, who read this message, will respond to it in disbelief just as ancient Jews did to Ezekiel’s message from God. They will quote the age-old proverb, “Time passes, and prophecies come to nothing.” Well, those days are coming to a close rapidly. The LORD has had enough of the wickedness of America and its rebellious people. Prophet after prophet has been sent to this nation warning them to turn from their wicked ways and return to God. We shall see. Remember that the apostle Peter wrote to us, The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” The time for repentance draws to a close quickly. The Age of Grace has a limit and an end.

Although Peter spoke of the Day of the LORD, the day he comes for his people/bride and to set up his kingdom on earth, the truth of the message holds strong today. God is not slack concerning his promises. They will and do come to pass. He has pronounced judgment on this nation, and it will come to pass soon!

Father, thank you for showing us the truth of your word and teaching it to us through your Holy Spirit. He knows your will and thoughts you have. He shows us how Jesus is depicted in the scriptures and what and how we are to live our lives. For all this and more am I ever grateful. Lord, you have said that your anger is aroused toward America as it was against Judah and Israel. How can we do even far worse and greater atrocities than them and not be punished? We would owe the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah apologies if we weren’t chastised. You love us and chastise us to bring us back into line with your standard and to keep our relationship where it should be. Forgive us for our sins as a nation for murdering children, turning out widows and orphans, calling right wrong and wrong right. We humble ourselves before you and ask for your mercy upon us. Spare the remnant of your people and may those yet to come into the family do so now! Your will be done, not ours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
