What a Godly leader must be.

From: Sha’ul, God’s slave and an emissary of Yashua the Messiah, sent to promote among God’s chosen people the trust and knowledge of truth which lead to godliness and which are based on the certain hope of eternal life…A leader must be blameless….an overseer, as someone entrusted with God’s affairs, must be blameless — On the contrary, he must be hospitable, devoted to good, sober-mindedness, uprightness, holiness and self-control. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy Message that agrees with the doctrine; so that by his sound teaching he will be able to exhort and encourage, and also to refute those who speak against it. – Titus 1: 1-2a, 6a, 7a, 8-9 (Complete Jewish Bible)

Paul wrote a personal letter to his son-in-the-faith, Titus. In this letter he spoke of the things or attributes of a successful leader in a local congregation. The apostle listed both things to be and things to not be. The letter went on to discuss how to treat elder church family members and younger church family members. The letter was a succinct treatise on the proper installation of leaders in the local assembly as well as how the congregants should conduct their lives.

As a leader in the body of Yashua, one called to be a member of His ecclesiastical gift to the body of Yashua, then I must adhere to the admonishing Paul wrote to Titus. Regardless of which position of leadership I hold, the truth is the truth. All leadership within the church family are entrusted by Yahweh with His affairs, including equipping the members of the family to every good work of Yahweh – the very purpose of the five-fold gift of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. We hold a special place in the body of Yashua, not for personal gain or fame, but special because the Father has chosen each of us to do and to teach and to lead the sheep, just as He told Peter, “Feed my sheep.” There is even a harsher, stricter standard to which we are held versus the rest of the family. Thus, Yahweh takes great care and note of what we do, when we do it, where we do it, how we do it, why we do it, and with whom we do it; it being the work(s) He assigns to each of us.

As we head into the end of the Age of Grace, as evidenced by the escalation of current events, we must be diligent to be about the Father’s business. Our food should be the same food that Yashua partook of in His earthly ministry, doing the will of the Father. We don’t have the luxury of time that was once held by leaders of the past. The end is near and coming quickly. There are fields white unto harvest still that must be tended, watered, and harvested. There are still plots to till and plant! Let us ensure that we take heed the litany of things to be, not just the things not to be. We should be living lives that are blameless and without reproach before Yahweh, hospitable, devoted to good, sober-minded, upright, holy, and practicing self-control. Sure, we have a human tabernacle within which we dwell in this life, but that does not excuse us from living as the Ruach HaKodesh prescribed through His servant Paul. Let us seek the face of Yahweh, ask for his forgiveness to wit He’s faithful and just to forgive when we ask and cleanse us from all the other, and be holy as He is holy.

In this latter day, we will see the Shekinah of Ruach HaKodesh poured out upon all people as foretold by the prophet Joel. There is coming a great harvest around the world, and is in effect already, but here in the United States of America, Yahweh has promised us once more a move that will see the hearts of the children turn toward the fathers and the fathers’ hearts toward the children, as foretold by Malachi. Let us be about the Father’s business by holding firmly to the trustworthy message of the Good News of Yashua

Father, thank you for the love you’ve extended to all mankind through the gift of your Grace, Yashua HaMashiach himself! He is our blessed hope sealed in us by your Ruach HaKodesh until the day of his coming to rule for a millennium as the Son of David and then for eternity as the King of kings and Lord of lords! You have bestowed upon the members of the Worldwide Evangelism association nearly 400 or more servants of the five-fold ecclesiastical gift to your bride to teach her and equip her to do every good work you’ve assigned for us. You wrote these missions down in the book of each of our lives that exist in heaven, as spoken of by King David, your beloved servant some 3,000+ years ago! Build up and embolden these servants of yours and my brethren to do your will and nothing but your will. You’ve spoken to us through the ages by the mouths of prophets and apostles of the mission we are to do. May we be successful in our diligence to harvest the fields we didn’t plant and to sow seed that others following us will harvest until the day you return to set up your everlasting kingdom here on earth. May we be men and women of humility, diligence, respect, and holiness. We yield our lives, and the remainder of our time on earth, back to you. We pour out ourselves as drink offerings for those who seek your love, grace, and salvation. May all this come to pass, as we petition this before you in the court of heaven as you sit upon your mercy seat and in the name of Yashua HaMashiach! Amen.
