Delivering the message.

Scripture:
So Moses went down to the people and told them what the LORD had said. – Exodus 19:25

Observation:
God called Moses to the top of Mount Sinai in order to give a message to deliver to the people of Israel. While he was on top of the mountain, he inscribed his laws into stone and had Moses give them to the people. The Bible tells us that Moses descended the mountain and told the people all God said to him.

Application:
If you are a believer/follower/disciple of Jesus, then you are a messenger. You are a preacher. How do I know this? Jesus commanded all of us to “Go, and preach the gospel to all people.” He in effect told us to proclaim the Good News to all people everywhere. It wasn’t just for the apostles. The Great Commission is to be fulfilled by ALL children of God regardless of age, color, creed, or whatever. We are messengers of hope and good news. Thus the Bible says that blessed are the feet of those that bring good news. Therefore, we need to “come down from the mountain” and deliver the message has given us to carry.

Prayer:
Father, you’ve commissioned me and all believers everywhere to carry forth the Good News of Jesus being raised from the dead and paying the price for our sins. I am but an instrument in your hands, but I know that this tool has to go from place to place sharing that message; otherwise, people will not know of the God in whom they cannot know if they’ve not heard of you. I have been sent by you and will do all that you have given me to share and do. May the Word of God be shared with all who will listen. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
